End Table Refurbish

My boyfriend and I recently moved in together, combining our (surprisingly a lot of) furniture and belongings. He’s had these two wooden end tables, one which he used in his childhood bedroom, and the other found in his childhood home’s attic when he moved out some years ago. They have certainly seen better days, but I saw some potential and instead of tossing them out I decided to take on the challenge. Here is my attempt at refurbishing the first (and admittedly easier) of the two. Stay tuned for the next table.

The Magnificent Multitude of Beer!

It’s the end of the week, one day early! If thats not reason enough to celebrate, here is a nice little (albeit hard to follow) infographic.

The multitude of varieties, brands and tastes of beer available can sometimes be a little overwhelming. So what better way to showcase the taxonomy of beer than with an infographic?

A favourite here at Creative Bloq, Pop Chart Lab have now built on their original beer infographic from 2010 and created a 60x40in malty monstrosity called The Magnificent Multitude of Beer. It ended up being so big that the team had to enlist the help of another printing firm to handle the job. After all that hard work, let’s hope they found time to head to the bar afterwards.

Cheers to a good holiday weekend!

Feeling a little Vintage today

It’s a rainy spring day in Philly. Contrary to popular belief its not ALWAYS sunny in Philadelphia.

I’ve come across a couple vintage ads that I find interesting. Here’s to the new (and last?) season of Mad Men in two weeks!

Color Challenge

Take the color test here.

How well do you see color? FACT: 1 out of 255 women and 1 out of 12 men have some form of color vision deficiency. Take the online color challenge, based on the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test.

Lets see how I did.

Not shabby. How did you do?

We did it!

Well, graduation has finally come and past. It’s Monday after the big weekend. The biggest question now, is…… what?

We have spent our whole lives working toward this moment, and before we know it is over, and we are expected to just blend back into society and start our careers. Jobs obviously aren’t growing on trees these days, so how can we get into the swing of things without stressing ourselves out? Here’s my plan:

Apply/look for a couple jobs EVERY day. Find jobs you would love to work at. Don’t stress out too much about not having a job lined up right after graduation. Most of us don’t.
Most importantly enjoy the time off. For the first time in as long as I can remember I don’t have any due dates. If you are lucky enough like me to have a pile of money to fall back on, go out and enjoy the next few weeks. Take trips, visit friends and have fun. You have earned it.

Congrats my fellow Class of 2013! We did it!
