Wedding Memorabilia Box

I know most my content has been wedding-related recently, but there’s so much creative stuff to show! I had been wanting to get some sort of box to hold our of our wedding memorabilia. It’s nice to have everything in one place, so we can easily reminisce in the future or have it all handy to show our friends and family when they come over. Most of the options of buying something customized like this were fairly pricey, in the $$$’s at least. Having just spent a lot of money on the wedding and being in the process of buying a house, I went for the more cost effective route, DIY!

I bought this sweet chest on Facebook marketplace for $20. It’s about 2 feet long by 1 foot deep. Perfect for the items I wanted to put in.

I sanded it down a bit and gave it one coat of white paint that I have already used on various other projects. (Remember the end table?) The wood’s texture and one coat gave it a nice rustic look.

Did the lettering myself, in navy blue sharpie.

Voila! Perfect to hold our albums, invites, RSVP’s, save the dates, my garter and his dried boutonniere, amongst all of our cards and various other odds and ends. Love it!

A Designer’s Wedding

Well I’ve been married a little over a month now, so I thought it was about time I shared the things I made for my own big day. The list of possibilities are endless for DIY weddings, but I had to reign it in at invitations, bulletins, a website, favors, and corn-hole. Check out the final invitations and favors below and see our website at www.freymanwedding.com
